How my journey into IT & computing began...
I remember being a teenager in the mid-1090s when all I kept hearing about on TV and the news was “spotty teenagers making MILLIONS of Dollars” (with a website or online business) that they had started from their bedrooms. I vividly remember wanting my own slice of this internet pie.
I came up with an idea for an online business that I assumed would do well and stand a good chance of earning me a Million Dollars $$$ online.
I realised I would need a website. Not knowing how to build websites myself, I started looking around Netscape search engine for website designers and was shocked at the prices I was being quoted for a website…
Teaching myself website design and learining how to program
My disgust at the prices coming back as quotes for someone to design a website for me was so much that I decided to teach myself website design – so I would never need to outsource my web design requirements to anyone else again.
I taught myself how to design websites in my bedroom from the tender age of 15, and I have not looked back since.
Teaching myself, this one single skill has led to so many opportunities for me and allowed me to make so much money online.

When I realised that I wanted/needed to be my own boss...
I remember it like it was just yesterday…
As a teenager, even though I had no bills to pay, I wanted to get a job so I could have money in my pocket to be able to go out and do all the things teenagers usually do…
I ended up getting a job at McDonalds.
My manager at the time took a particular dislike to me for one reason or another, and he decided to start picking on me for the smallest of things.
One particular day, I was a few minutes late for work and BOOM!… that was it, I was FIRED!…
As I walked off the premises that day, I remember thinking how lucky I was that it was just me and that I had no wife & kids to support.
That day, I decided to become an Entrepreneur and take charge of my own financial future – ensuring that I could never be fired from a job again.
…But it’s not all been plain sailing. I have had one long-term enemy all these years that has stunted my progress and succeeded in tripping me up on my journey to greatness: PROCRASTINATION
